Scriptures - Book recommendations?

I have a gift voucher for a book store.

Could anyone recommend any Buddhist books that contain Buddhist scriptures, or essence of Buddhist scriptures?

If you're into Zen, Dwight Goddard's 'Buddhist Bible' is a good one.

If you don't mind doing some late shopping, I really like Red Pine's commentary on The Heart Sutra.

There is also The Universe in a Single Atom by the Dalai Lama.
