Sears Is Selling Porno

Or so the American Family Association would like you to believe.

Sears is content to sell pornography. And, if you are offended, they don't seem to care!

August 3, 2010

We tried. In fact, we tried more than a half-dozen times to reach out to Sears quietly and professionally. Sears' public relations department has refused to return our calls and emails.

Sears is currently offering giant posters of total nud**y on its website. Sears knows they are selling smut. Technology allows Sears to remove and stop selling these posters within minutes, so why won't they?

I hope you will take my word for it, but if you must see the proof, they can be found here. Warning: the posters are extremely graphic and offensive, although they have been edited by us.

These aren't just posters of scantily-clad women. Some of them depict groups of people, lesbians and others engaged in ***ual activities. Very little is left to the imagination.

What's amusing is that AFA can't even say the word "nudity" out loud, but must disguise it as " nud**y." But maybe the word isn't "nudity" at all, but rather the far more disgusting word "noodly," referencing the "Flying Spaghetti Noodly Monster," currently Yahweh's greatest challenge to the god-head throne. Same goes for the word "sex."---at least I think it's "sex"---note how AFA fudges the term: "***ual activities." Although it could be "consensual activities," or maybe "usual activities." Hard to tell just what lights their ire fire

Anyway, here's what the AFA has its panties all in a knot about.

I've gone to the trouble to cover the offensive parts so no one is smitten with uncontrollable urges of lust, but for those who prefer to lust simply click on the AFA version HERE

These are on the Sears website? The guys who make clothing?

While this is a bit surprising, why is this something to be concerned about?

Nice to see nothing has changed with the old AFA. Once a sanctimonious group of busybody buttinskis, always a sanctimonious group of busybody buttinskis . . .

It's not enough that they or their followers choose not to buy it. Nobody should be allowed to buy that of which they do not approve.

They unknowingly make a mockery of their religion and give free advertising to Sears poster business to boot.

If they are selling these posters, they are dang hard to find.

Violet.
And good for them!

Every general department store
should have a "sexual needs" section.

We all have sexual needs,
do we not?

And not every mall has a Spencer's after all.

I had to look it up out of curiosity... they do have them. There is nothing wrong with nudity... IMO nudity does not equal pornography... they could be selling worse things like actual porno. UV is right...everyone has sexual needs.

Prince of Dorkness!
I still say we have truly skewed veiwpoints on this, when blood guts gore murder and violence is just fine for kids to see, but naked bodies cause an uproar.

I don't know about you guys, but when I want to buy nude posters, Sears is always the first place I think of.
