WASHINGTON - That was close. Virginia's Senate has accomplished what an upper legislative chamber is supposed to do. It has saved its state from being further embarrassed by its lower chamber.

Virginia's House of Delegates last week had voted 60-34 to impose a $50 fine on anyone whose boxers, briefs or thongs peek above their pants or skirts
. Next it would have been those flirtatious bra straps

Is Virginia for real, or is it just a TV comedy show?

I know we live in a 'Nanny State', but is it really necessary for Senate to intervene?:banghead3

So if charged, would they have to file their briefs?

Maybe this is just the beginning of the boxer rebellion?

Would they have to employ undiescover policemen?

Maybe they are just trying thier best to "Just say no to crack"?

We could call this the great Va cover up!

Of course this could have sparked a new wave of "au natural" in Va!

I for one am appalled that Virginia's noble effort to impose a state sanctioned dress code failed! It is entirely clear that this country was founded on the principles of hiding one's underwear from public view. For instance: The founding fathers of this great country never showed their underwear in public. Again: there is no mention of a right to show one's underwear in public in the Constitution, nor in the Declaration of Independence. Virginia was merely trying to return to its roots.

Hint - It's not what you think. People in Intercourse only talk about what you're thinking

Well, as off-putting as it can be, I still think giving people a fine for having their pants so low that their undies show, is a little bit much. Personally, when I see people dressed like that, I just want to give them a good belt :bonk: ...maybe a black one with a nice silver buckle would do the trick.

I personally would rather not see the top of a woman's thong, or a blokes boxers; if they want to look stupid then that's their choice, but I think imposing a ban on it is a bit much.
