He was asked how he would DECREASE the inflation he constantly complains about and the moron's answer is that he'd impose MASSIVE TARIFFS, which of course all economists agree would INCREASE inflation.

Yes we and economists have thought about it and know it is fantasy. Whirlpool makes their washers in China and say it sells for $500, put his tariffs on it and the market is now 600 $ for you to buy a washer, that is inflation, but say whirlpool wants to build them here, wages in China are 6 $ an hour for washing machine assemblers. that allows Whirpool to pay $7.20 to make an equivalent profit assuming other costs equal on what is now a $600 item.
I rather doubt you could find your hated immigrants to work for that kind of wage in this country and if you did, you would be bringing them up to at least the poverty level with government funds that I am sure you object to just as much.
Net result, a formerly $500 expense to you is now $600 unless we do onshore production and your cost is higher through necessary taxes to support the persons earning these ridiculous wages.
Trump's tariffs do not make economic sense no matter what he erroneously claims. His entire economic policy is a recipe for disaster.
Oh and then there are the retaliatory tariffs which will reduce our exports.
