We're all aware of the 'seven deadly sins.' (For those of you that can't remember,) They are: Greed/Avarice, Envy/Jealousy, Pride/Vanity, Lust/Lechery, Sloth, Wrath, and Gluttony. Then of course, you have the 'seven heavenly virtues': Prudence, Temperance, Justice, Fortitude, Charity, Hope and Faith.
These were all thought up by the church as a means of control around the medieval times. What do you think should be the modern 'seven deadly sins' and 'seven heavenly virtues.' Maybe we can up our own list.
I'll put forward a couple of ideas; for a 7DS, Cruelty, and for a 7HV, Tolerance.
ADDED: I was just looking up the 7DS and on a site there were people adding their suggestions for new ones and somebody put "Tolerance - for it accepts and ignores the deadly sins in the world refusing to shut it out allowing it to grow out of control." Interesting point.. And then somewhere further down, has been written "Intolerance - Certainly this one's been around for a long time, but the last sixty years or so have seen the creation of far more efficient systems, some quite subtle, some less than delicate, for imposing the will of a righteous minority on the majority."
Interesting that both should be put under the title of 'Deadly Sins.'
