Someone said here in another thread that Denying children appropriate sex education leads to atrocity. What wrong with our sex Ed classes do you think?

It increases the risks of teenage pregnancy, sexual abuse, domestic violence, transmission of disease and infection, homophobia, sexism, transphobia, etc.
By how much?
Isn’t peer pressure and carelessness a bigger contributor? I could be wrong idk

It depends on which ones

The goal of education is to teach care, add knowledge to make better risk assesment and modulate behaviors and beliefs. In other words it changes the pressure of the peers and how to manage it properly as well as providing informations to make better risk assesment thus reducing carelessness.

Yes...I do agree.
Also an education to romance would be useful.:)
High schoolers are supposed to learn that sexual relations are more beautiful in the context of romantic love.

My wife & I taught our kids about sex education long before they would be subjected to it in school, and the earliest one of our kids learned of it was 4 and the latest was 8. With us, when they asked the right questions they got the right answers.

It's technically covered in good sex-ed classes. They also give information about domestic abuse some forms of sexism and harassments.

Who's "us," though? Your profile doesn't indicate any nationality.
Aren't these problems fewer in societies where sex is openly discussed and understood?
Probably no doubt but this isn’t the threads point
Sex Ed is a great thing

Well, for starters it is not sex ed.
It is "If you have sex before marriage you will go to hell" threats.

My wife and I always gave truthful and honest and most importantly CORRECT answers to all the sex questions our children asked.

Of course, we presented our answers at their level when asked.

Well...actually I would blame Hollywood and TV shows...where actors portray the squalor and sadness of promiscuous relationships.
They normalize friendship with benefits...loveless sex and they ridicule romance.
