We are not talking here of weight lifting.

Now, suppose I want to literally turn a wafer into the body of Christ, do you think I can do that? If not, why not?

It's God that does it, not the priest. I don't really care about the woman priest thing, either way. People seem to have this idea that women have no power in Catholicism or Orthodoxy because women cannot be priests, which isn't true. Many of the greatest Saints and theologians in history are women, and are recognized and celebrated.

Yes.

No idea. Ask a Catholic.

I did not ask if you have an idea about Catholics. They probably have no idea either.

I am asking you if that corresponds to your idea of Christianity being really neutral being men and women.

It's not my idea, it's literally written in their scripture. It means that all are equal in worth and dignity, not function. In the same way a lion and a deer are not equal in function, but are equal in dignity and worth as far as humans ought to treat them.

So, does Catholicism contemplates women to be able to perform transubstantiation? Ok. I might have missed the memo.

No one "performs" transubstantiation.

No, women are not allowed to be priests in Catholicism or Orthodox Christianity, obviously. It's because the priest is believed to be acting in the person of Christ (as Christ is the High Priest), and Christ is a male and so were all the high priests of the Temple. It's part of sacred Tradition.

It is obvious that a lion and a deer are not equal in function. However, they have a big overlapping set of common functions. For instance, they can both see and run, feel pain, etc. And the differences are readily identifiable, in terms of morphology, dietary needs, teeth, etc.

So, why do you think women cannot turn a wafer into the body of Christ? Is having a penis a physical characteristic that allows that, while having a vagina does not? Or is that related to hormones lie testosterone and such? What it is it? I that physical, or spiritual?

Will they accept transexuals that identify as males?

He didn't. All He said is that is part of a sacred tradition. If that sacred tradition would instead forbid women to go to school. would you be also so cool about it?

Probably. If going to school were not any use to women.

Do you have any more loaded questions to ask? Because you're clearly not actually looking for answers here. Nothing we say will satisfy you, so what's the point. Go and drink some tea or whatever.

Because sex changes aren't recognized in Catholicism or Orthodoxy.
Ergo, those religions believe that having a penis means man, while having a vagina means woman. A not negotiable one to one relationship.

You tag yourself as Christian. So, you must agree with that, right?

No problem. I got you now. That is in line with your approval of stoning Sabbath violators to death, as long as the trial is fair.
