Yes because no law says they can't. It actually protects against claims of lawfare.Should a convicted felon be allowed to remain in the presidential ballot? Why or why not?
I figure that would require a historical template to answer such a question.Should a convicted felon be allowed to remain in the presidential ballot? Why or why not?
Should such laws exist? Why or why not?Yes because no law says they can't.
No because then someone could Trump up charges and what would happen if a law against moral turpitude was passed.Should such laws exist? Why or why not?
Yes, much as I feel that many felons who are felons primarily because of disparities within the justice system should be allowed to do so.Should a convicted felon be allowed to remain in the presidential ballot? Why or why not?
A president can be impeached for 'high crimes and misdemeanors.' One would think that a felon would be ineligible.Should a convicted felon be allowed to remain in the presidential ballot? Why or why not?
Sadly yes. A convicted felon, and not a total unknown, ran for President from prison. To ban him you would need to change the Constitution.Should a convicted felon be allowed to remain in the presidential ballot? Why or why not?

This is actually what bothers me the most about this entire thing.A president can be impeached for 'high crimes and misdemeanors.' One would think that a felon would be ineligible.
That's the thing. It's like there are no other Republicans that Republicans will nominate to challenge Trump. Are they ALL cowed?I would hope that citizens would not nominate and vote for a criminal candidate. They can surely find a non-criminal candidate. There's got to be someone who isn't a felon.
What gets me is that Trump still attracts more ambitious people to him, and all the while Trump has left a trail of broken people with ruined lives. Jena Ellis lost her law license. Rudy Guliani is over $100 million in debt. Bill Barr's reputation is ruined. Jeff Sessions can't get a job. Nikki Haley just blew any future for herself by being a hypocrite. Sydney powell. Eastman. All the other people involved with the fake elector scheme, indicted in multiple states. Kari Lake is an ongoing joke. Yet people still want to be in his orbit. Absurd. Dangerous. This is actually what bothers me the most about this entire thing.
Sure, the stuff it was actually convicted of is bad. But let's be real here - that's got nothing on some of the other things it has done that are vastly more serious for the fate and future of this entire nation. That Congress failed to impeach it from office and actually carry that out in full is probably one of the greatest failures of this country's national government in history.
Even now, the former in-cheif narcissist is swindling the American people asking for donations to its campaign. Con artists gonna con artist. And humans gonna human and utterly fall for it. It's unbelievable to me, but here we are.
Nikki Haley played the game, that she pretended was a legitimate alternative to MAGA. Then she said she's voting for Trump. What future does she have now? MAGAs hate her, and she just stabbed all of her supporters in the back. The lesson: you can mount a legitimate campaign against Trump, but it has to be real. That's the thing. It's like there are no other Republicans that Republicans will nominate to challenge Trump. Are the ALL cowed?
Unfortunately yes, they are all terribly afraid of the MAGAt's.That's the thing. It's like there are no other Republicans that Republicans will nominate to challenge Trump. Are the ALL cowed?

Suppose Liz Cheney or Adam Kinzinger got in the race. You would think they could pull some Republicans away from Mango Mussolini.Nikki Haley played the game, that she pretended was a legitimate alternative to MAGA. Then she said she's voting for Trump. Better than my example of Lyndon LaRouche who only got 26,334 votes. And a far more honorable man too. LaRouche is much more similar to Trump.Nov. 2, 1920: Imprisoned Eugene V. Debs Received One Million Votes for U.S. President
