Latly my parents, especially my dad, have been giving alot of s*** over hair. Some people have said they like my hair longer, but I am wanting some more opinions. My dad keeps saying it looks feminine, and has called me "Brandy" (My real name until I get it changed is Brad) a few times, and then points out I have longer hair than almost all of my female relatives.

So, what do you think? Cut it or grow it?

My suggestion, DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO! Never take appearance tips from others, esp. me!

I second Alan. Do what ever makes you happy. Personally, I like my hair above my shoulders because it is so much easier to maintain than long hair, so you may want to consider how much time you want to spend on your hair.

So long as you keep it clean, what's the problem?

Have we traveled back into the 60s or something, when a guy having long hair mean he was evil? sheesh I'm having this bad feeling of deja vu. :faint:

And just because your female relatives want to wear their hair like MEN is no cause for your father to make fun of you. :D

I pressed the wrong vote button(hot dog fingers), being the only vote at the time ruined your pole count.

I say grow it out till the day it drives you crazy and want to tear it off. Then go a bit longer.

I had longer hair and then the world and everyone in it was telling me to cut it. I wish I never cut it.

Hair equals power!!! Its true and not just a story of Samson. People will treat you different, listen more and respect you more. (except dad)

Plus the ladies love it. They might not admit it, but deep inside they Really Love it. This is a fact based on my experience and can be backed up by many of my friends. It was a running joke for a long time, then confirmed when I cut it. All my power and respect went away and I had to become a normal man again.

This may sound like a exaggeration but try it for 1 more year keeping this in mind, then open a new thread with a update of this after the year.

I say do what feels like you.....If 'you' isn't short styled hair...dont do it. I think it looks nice the length it is. And btw...there's no way your hair looks feminine!

It really is bugging me wondering if it really does look femine or not.

Might grow it longer, cut it, and donate it if I can find an organization locally.

Unless you want to.

Some guys (and gals) look goofy with long hair but you wear it really well.

If you decide to cut it...do it because it's something that you want to do. :D

Personally, I think it looks good.

I don't think long hair on a guy makes him look feminine unless he has feminine features (with I don't think Shadow Wolf does) to begin with.

That's just me.

Try growing a mustache. That should put the "feminine" objection to rest.
I usually have a goatee, but I had to shave it off because of a store inspection that involved the company owner. No one really cares if you have a goat thier, but the owner, for some odd reason, she claims they look intimidating. Was gonna go with a Fu, but my boss wasn't sure if she would allow that or not.
It will put my mind to rest knowing it is just my dad. No one else says it does, but I hear it from him so many times, it had me wondering.

I don't know about 'feminine', but long hair on a guy, especially in front, just creates a slovenly appearance.

I say cut it. Guys look more dignified with short hair or bald heads.:)
