Should the media ignore Trump?

Am I the only one who feels like Trump is enjoying all the publicity, including the negative stuff? I'm suspicious that he enjoys being the King of controversy as well as the subject of comedians.

He doesn't enjoy it much - it's just what Putin has ordered him to do.

Unfortunately ignoring him brings the same result.

I think we should ALL ignore Donald.

I think Trump gets a kick out of it. Well I would. Having the media breathlessly waiting on any tweet I might make. Certainly, I'd do my best to run the media around in circles.

There's really not much the media can do to threaten Trump. Hard not to let one's self be tempting into an evil sense of power.

I don't know. Maybe if the media ignored him, he'd get bored and resign as president. Not likely to happen though, Trump gives the media a lot of material to work with. Can't really be that hard to be a leftist news reporter. Whatever Trump does, just figure out something bad to say about it and It will be carried by every media source.

The problem is Trump's rhetoric riles up mobs. The media loves this, more to report on. The media should probably ignore it but they aren't going to. Both political parties and the media benefits from Trump rhetoric. Trump should probably be named entertainer of the year.

As long as they get ratings they can't ignore him but as we have seen over the last two years of numerous drive by hit pieces that came to little or nothing maybe they should start ignoring him since their credibility is shot and his star is rising once again.

The media should have ignored Trump three years ago when he started running.

They can’t ignore him now, he is president.

Hopefully we can start ignoring him soon.

Sadly, I think this kind of utter dung needs to be reported to remind those who would tend to normalize what an utterly unprincipled pile of poop he is and how he's trying to destroy American institutions and obliterate the America dream:

Trump calls Stormy Daniels 'Horseface'
President Trump lied more than 3,000 times in 466 days

Horseface and Tiny? All of this free entertainment.

On the contrary, I think that we as Americans should be able to put partisan politics aside and celebrate Trumps victory. Not only has he shown the fortitude to stand up to bullying and extortive gangsterism tactics but also the judges decision has shown that the rule of law and the constitution are still intact.

The problem runs deeper than the feedback system between Trump and the media. I think that a white America is coalescing and wanting to fight back against a changing and opening society. Too many yearn for the simpler days of old when there were no problems with the Others.

I think that political bubble will burst like all bubbles when those who have their hopes in Trump to be able to do anything will give up. Then other voices will prevail as before.

I think it is good that the media keep an eye on things because so much of what is going on is flirting with very undemocratic tendencies.

They won't. The corporate media only cares about ratings. I get news alerts about mass shootings and I switch on the news channels, trying to hear more about it but it's always just something about Trump. Makes me angry.

Just like the right did for President Obama, including carefully considering his judicial appointments?

What goes around comes around and the left will give back to the right what the right has been dishing out. And no amount of pitiful whining from the right about mobs when they've been aiding and abetting right wing mobs will cause the left to roll over and play dead.

That stinking pile of garbage (and I'm giving back what he's given out) needs to be put in the political dumpster along with the far right power loving extremists in Congress who do the bidding of the plutocrats and the legislating from the bench extremist right-wing judiciary including, sadly, the Supreme Court.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I'm all for the Democrats spewing vile comments, name-calling with unparalleled vitriol and and violent and erratic behavior, screaming and stammering, pulling their hair out hitting their head, holding their breath to their blue in the face.

People need to see the Democrats true colors and they're doing a wonderful beautiful job.

The more the world sees this, the better it will be for the GOP in the midterms and Beyond.

How can we move forward in healing this nation with such venomous, devisive rhetoric? We are in a transformative time in the United States within which some divide themselves with invisible walls, tear down your walls Sunrise and get on the Trump train.

The media wants to make money by getting people to look at their stuff. People love to watch the Donald. Therefore, they will continue to cover him.

He enjoys living rent free in people's minds, but it's honesty a master tactic for his next campaign. He's beating the competition before they even get out of the gate. I respect that, but mostly because I know what he's doing. :D

It's important to separate his image from his acts, in terms of the President he's doing the job but he doesn't mind trolling the media to keep them chasing ghosts and getting out of his way. Behind the scenes there is a more balanced man who is careful about what he does. So, I guess if the controversy is more important to you, you got baited. :D There are several interviews where he describes what he's been doing and it's a plans within plans thing. He's thinking a lot further ahead that people give him credit for -- if anything he exploits his image to get more done.

It is being reported that Trump has raised unprecedented amounts of money for his 2020 election victory.
