Yes, I did notice that. Although Nazi Germany was technically a republic.

Made me happy. I'm a republican. But the Republican Party (US) can bite me.
Mind you, I showed magnanimity by not pointing out that you went with 'rebublican' in your post. I'm taking my lead from your graciousness.

It was. Although in practical terms Hitler killed it by taking power and using emergency powers without term limits to simply bypass the constitution. Still, he never technically ended the Weimar Republic.
