When 9/11 happened why did we blame Osama bin Laden when it was Khalid Shiekh Muhammad who was behind it? I understand the celebrations when bin Laden was killed but why wasn't it a huge deal when KSM was captured? Unless it was and I don't remember it

How did we know it was those 19 whom hijacked the plane?
