Skyclad rituals

So I am very new to Paganism. I have been reading books and reading blogs and websites and I've come across the topic of going Skyclad during some gatherings and rituals.

Now being a newbie I have to ask the question.....what happens when people (specifically men) become physically aroused by the naked people around him? Do you try to hide it or do you just let if fly because its a natural reaction to your surroundings?

I would assume you should not be ashamed of it (it's kind of a given when men are naked around women), but definitely don't act on it...unless the context requires it.

Yeah, I've heard that some rituals and gathering are intended to be naked, and some nekkid. The latter version I guess is when acting upon you arousal is whats intended in the first place.

Skyclad is mostly a British Traditional Witchcraft thing, so unless you're in a coven, you're not likely to run into it. I never have, and I've gone to a few Neopagan events here and there. I couldn't tell you how it's handled, other than to suppose folks approach it with maturity.

It's interesting. I can definitely understand and agree with the reasons they'd chose to be Skyclad; makes perfect sense. I'd guess it was a lot more common back in the day. Today people are just too uptight and stuffy, which is one of the problems with society today. Just BE, people, just BE.
