Eating different kinds of food is like heaven on earth to me. I never had an absolute favorite since I grew up in a household where spanish, italian, french, greek, chinese, japanese, german, american, korean and polish food was served regulary. When I lived in Austin and Houston I ate out almost every single day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Never had Mexican food till I lived in Texas though. When I lived in Denver, Colorado the first "Mexican" food I had was Taco Bell.
But when I think of smörgåsbords, it reminds me of this restaurant north of Round Rock, Texas. Just off the exit on I-35, north bound side, this German restaurant had the best weinersnitschel dishes. Homemade and German buffet style. Robtex should eat there. The beer is excellent too. They have huge glass door freezers on the left when you walk in. The place looks like an old western five and dime or one of those houses with the rickety porch which the hound dog should be sitting on. Heh. They have a huge counter where you pay your check. It's a very popular restaurant.
Mmm, mmm, good. I'm drooling over here thinking about it now!
