Small but Pleasant Everyday Happenings

I think it's time I thought more about the small (maybe even very small) but positive things and everyday happenings that occur in my life at the moment. The negative ones are already on my mind often enough. :p

The other day I was sitting in a coffee shop that was playing (Egyptian) love songs. I put on my earphones and played Iron Maiden instead. Had a great time, and I was by myself there too. :D

A friend who's having great difficulty facing his work schedule
for getting his airplane in the air actually took my advice, &
made a schedule of all major tasks. His physical & mental
health are looking up now.

My wife asked me, several time, to find out why the drip system is leaking in one spot in the yard. So I went and looked and could not see any holes or problems. If you can't find a problem, does it really exist? Or should I start the system and see what happens?

I would say "No."

If you don't see a problem, it doesn't exist.
If you turn on the system, there is a chance...no matter how remote it seems...that you will then find that there is indeed a problem. (Notice that I say how remote it seems, at least to you...but your wife noticed it, so...)
Confirming that there is a problem means that you will have to fix it, or hire someone to do so.

No matter what, you lose!:eek::oops:

Sounds similar to what I look forward to on the weekends: Putting on my headphones, turning on the noise canceling feature, and drowning the world out. Though I'm not much of a metalhead anymore (I've been assimilated into the electronic/industrial collective). But I'll always have a place in my playlist for several metal bands, such as Iron Maiden, who not only have very good music but also wildly brilliant and intelligent lyrics.

I always sleep with my blinds open (the house next to mine is still being built) so i get to see the lovely night sky with its stars. They aren’t always visible, but when they are its pleasing to see :)
