Smartest person in the room.

Most rooms I enter, I am the smartest person.

I might be narcissistic, but that doesn't mean my above statement isn't true. I'm narcissistic because it is true.

In anger management group right now. The discussion has devolved into politics unfortunately. My mouth has been sealed, as that's not what I'm here for. But situations like this makes me painfully aware of my intellectual superiority.

That's why I like RF. I'm typically not the smartest person in the room (thread). I think the average poster has above average intelligence.

Intelligence is not the sole desirable trait. These people around me are more sympathetic, empathetic, and optimistic than me. That, I would prefer.

I think there are different ways of being smart so I think when it comes to being the smartest person in the room things may be more complicated than they might at first seem

I love being around people who are smarter than me. You learn a lot like that.
I love it too, but I have had to learn to appreciate being the smart person around. In my day to day life, people will love to glean knowledge off of conversations with me. My intelligence is obvious when talking to me, and I make an intellectual conversation enjoyable if I by chance find myself in one.

Confucius said something along the lines about how he can always find one person within a group of three people that he could learn something from. He also talked about how he would learn from his disciples, to their amazement.

Just because someone is not as smart as me does not mean I cannot learn from them. This I have learned.

I like this. High intelligence is good (so is common sense), but individuals who are kind, sympathetic, compassionate, benevolent, and able to inspire us in our journey are the ones who really touch our hearts.

I'm always the dumbest. I introduce myself with, "Will there be fun?"

I'm usually smart enough to know if I might be the smartest in any room (it doesn't take long) and for much of my life I knew I wasn't because most of the others usually were more qualified than me, especially in many different areas of knowledge. But then I did work in an industry where being smart was a requirement. And I was never really happy a lot of the time to be honest. But I did make quite a few friends and get involved in many pleasurable activities with them, so there was that. :D

I'd probably have to say the Air is the smartest person in the room I sit in. Air flows through and touches more things on this reality than I will ever be able to experience or comprehend in my lifetime. The same, perhaps, could be said of the Water in this room as well. And the Earth. And the Fire. Basically most stuff that isn't human is greater persons than me as it experiences more than humans ever do.
