Smartas are not polythiestic they are monists.Most Smartas worship at least one of the following Gods: Shiva, Vishnu, Devi , Ganesha, Surya, and/or Skanda. They believe in just one God who is the ground of all being. Smartas believe that we are free to chose any particular aspect of God to worship.
