Hi there. :)

My name is Ahava and I'm excited to be here. I found this forum while googling something pretty arbitrary, and lo! A community of fellow seekers does exist!

A little about me: I have a diverse background, with a family on both sides that is Catholic, a Nichiren Buddhist mom, and a Christian Baptist dad. After a long search for a path that better fit me, I found Judaism and am well into my conversion journey.

Spirituality and religion have long been passions of mine and I look forward to learning more/engaging in conversation about them here.

Congratulations on finding you path and getting content with Judaism :)

To be honest with you, I'm starting to hate this place. Every now and then disrespectful people show up to specifically bash beliefs ahead of its believers. Members get a Jester trophy for being rude to other members. Offenders keep roaming around while some others are banned just after the first couple of posts or for some so little offensive posts.

The only reason I'm still here is the good people I came to know and love.

My advise to you is to be the bigger person in discussions and try to keep your composure. Ignore offense if your first tries fail. Be open minded as much as you can.
