Besides RF, what social media platforms do you consume or participate in? How frequent is your usage? Which is your favorite? Why?

Facebook to keep up with relatives and friends.

Reddit for several areas: HandBrake, video editing, golden retrievers, r/faceplam and a few others.

Discord, Instagram, and YouTube. I like that they all allow me a lot of freedom to choose which types of content I want to consume, unlike Facebook and Reddit, where one is almost certain to encounter toxicity even if they stick to specific sections of each site.

I use Snapchat only because my best friend asked me to make an account so that she could share photos of her favorite moments with me.

I use all the apps mentioned except Snapchat because I don't see the point of it (unless you're an adulterer or trying to do something illegal). Other than the apps mentioned, I'm also on X and Telegram and use those more frequently than most of the apps named.

Facebook, Instagram and Reddit are the worst when it comes to platforms mentioned. Facebook is only good if you're a millennial or older and you want to keep in touch with people you actually know. It's mostly useless due to the censorship and political bias. My original Facebook that I had for a decade at the time was banned for a really stupid reason, and that led me to losing huge amounts of memories and pics that I can't get back, and I never could actually contact anyone about it. So I really hate that platform. They will take everything from you in the blink of an eye. So don't believe anything they say about digital permanence or whatever. It's just a power trip.

Reddit is just a craphole of weirdos and they also censor like crazy. Reddit was good until they did a huge purge a few years back. It's just a political echo chamber and porn site now.

Out of all of those, I use YouTube the most. But I'm an elderly YouTuber. My account is almost 20 years old. Lol.

Scratch Reddit. I just deleted my account. It's really too nasty for me. Too much bullying. I hope Reddit goes out of business soon. It's a relic like MySpace at this point, anyway. Just die.

The only one I use regularly is Facebook, but I rarely post. It's more a place for me to "people watch." I have a meager 26 friends on the platform.

I can probably count on one hand how many times I've posted comments on YouTube. I primarily watch videos and have subscribed to 24 channels that interest me, and will occasionally throw a like someone's way if I found the video useful.

I have Instagram and Reddit accounts, but I find them to be a bit more of a bother than they're worth and almost never use them.

I have a Discord account, but only use it for RF, and forget it's there unless someone reminds me.

Facebook to keep in touch with fellow bird nerds. YouTube to watch music videos and various other stuff. Discord occasionally to see if RF is down or if it's just me.

I have a youtube account where I watch some guitar stuff, a lot of maths and statistics lectures, data science and coding and a bit of philosophy. I scroll Reddit's landing page but have never registered. I once had a twitter account for a few months but I deleted it when I realised how long I was spending reading tweets each day.

Other for me, given that I don't have an account with any of these but do occasionally visit, especially YouTube.

Outside of RF, I use YouTube and Pinterest. I look at YouTube maybe once or twice a day, something like that. My use of Pinterest is rare, but I think I might use it more often from now.

Facebook and Youtube.

But not Facebook much anymore. Too commercial.

And it's hard to get past Youtube's "givemoreofthat" programming. I don;t want more of that. I want more of something different.
