Yeah, my area of greater mythological expertise is the Greek pantheon. It is similar in many respects to the Roman pantheon, but Sol Invictus does not, to my knowledge, have a correlative in Greek mythology. I have quite a bit to study yet, though.

The wikipedia article is very interesting, and is definitely informing the conversation I'm having in another thread about modernizing the gods.

This middle-eastern worship of big meteorites or other large stones is fascinating. Down to the Kaaba today.
