Some of the most intellegent people I have ever met are on this forum, and I do get out much.
I have come across posts and quotes that were so profound I had to read them a few times, and then I wrote it down with attribution. There are some I still don't understand, referring to topics I haven't studied yet. That is on my to-do list. lol
That would be why I love this place so much. I really feel like it helps me grow spiritually and intellectually.

I have to agree with The Don, there are a lot of bright people at this forum. In fact, I don't think I have run into a stupid person here.

Somewhat more seriously, I think there are different kinds of intelligence. That is, I agree with Howard Gardner that there are at least eight distinct kinds of human intelligence. And I believe I've noticed that people who are not all that smart in one way are often smart in another.

I couldn't agree more! I know many people with "street smarts" that have no "book smarts" and many "book smart" people with no common sence!
