I have two questions:

1. If Islam is the true religion,then why are most of the Muslim countries having to suffer so much in life. There are wars, suffering, poverty etc. If you look at the United Nations ranking on how each country on earth is according to poverty, wars, wealth, education etc then most of the Muslim countries come up at the bottom.
Why is not the God making sure that the countries that are Muslim having better lives with no wars, no poverty and better education etc. The countries on top on this list are the most non-religious such as Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Australia & Canada which are the least religious countries in the world. Why would the Muslim God give all the good things to non-religious countries and not to Muslim countries.

2. My next question is about morality. I though it was strictly strictly forbidden in Muslim countries to watch porn. If you watch the statistics page below you can see that one of many porn sites are highly ranked in many Muslim countries:

Because it is so highly ranked there have to be at least more than 50% of the internet users who go to these sites. How is this explained if there are really strict rules for this? Is this what we call "double standards" or how can this be explained??

I mean no disrespect with my questions.. I ask similar questions about all religions....This is just something I wonder about Islam.

Your second question about morality in what supposed to be in the muslim countries is the reply to your first question.

Compare the Islamic Empire in the past and the islamic countries(by name only) then you can know the answer yourself.

That's a good question, but there's many reasons why the world is like that.
It has more to do with bad people having the power, and many among them were helped by Europeans or the Americans.
Before the colonisations, the muslim world was not that bad compared to the west.

And concerning the question about why God is not helping us, i prefer to answer with the Qu'ran :

13.11 Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.

29.2 Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried?

41.49 Man is not weary of supplication for good [things], but if evil touches him, he is hopeless and despairing.

41.50 And if We let him taste mercy from Us after an adversity which has touched him, he will surely say, "This is [due] to me, (...)"

For a religious person, this life is just a test.
So, when you say that muslims suffer a lot nowadays, you have to remember that people suffered also a lot before muslims and they were believers (i'm talking about the others monotheist religions).

It’s important to note that any new religion represents a challenge to the way of life of the society. Hence, communities tend to resist the new religions:
Here is what the Quran says in this issue:

Ah, the anguish for the bondmen! Never came there unto them a messenger but they did mock him!

يا حسرة على العباد ما ياتيهم من رسول الا كانوا به يستهزؤون
سورة يس - سورة 36 - آية 30

Not a township believed of those which We destroyed before them (though We sent them portents): would they then believe?

On the other hand, in case, a prophet’s message has been accepted to some degree, people tend to distort the message after the prophets. Again the Quran says the following:

And the folk of Moses, after (he left them), chose a calf (for worship), (made) out of their ornaments, of saffron hue, which gave a lowing sound. Saw they not that it spake not unto them nor guided them to any way? They chose it, and became wrong-doers.

واتخذ قوم موسى من بعده من حليهم عجلا جسدا له خوار الم يروا انه لا يكلمهم ولا يهديهم سبيلا اتخذوه وكانوا ظالمين
سورة الأعراف - سورة 7 - آية 148

Muhammad is but a messenger, messengers (the like of whom) have passed away before him. Will it be that, when he dieth or is slain, ye will turn back on your heels? He who turneth back on his heels doth no hurt to Allah, and Allah will reward the thankful.

وما محمد الا رسول قد خلت من قبله الرسل افان مات او قتل انقلبتم على اعقابكم ومن ينقلب على عقبيه فلن يضر الله شيئا وسيجزي الله الشاكرين
سورة آل عمران - سورة 3 - آية 144

This does not mean that Allah has not preserved the pure religion of Islam. All in all, you need to study Islam, and not Muslims, and you will be able to identify the pure version of Islam, provided that you search objectively:


The evidence of the above two sentences from the Quran are:

Lo! We, even We, reveal the Reminder, and lo! We verily are its Guardian.

انا نحن نزلنا الذكر وانا له لحافظون
سورة الحجر - سورة 15 - آية 9

As for those who strive in Us, We surely guide them to Our paths, and lo! Allah is with the good.

Before concluding, I would like to note that we can’t assume that Islam is the cause of the problems of the Muslim countries, which they themselves, in general, don’t claim to practice Islam as a form of ruling the states…

Does this window see only the present state of the Islamic lands or does it go back in time? You might want to look up Islam during the dark ages that your ancestors in Europe were going through. Spain when under Muslim rule had street lighting while the rest of Europe hardly even had light inside the homes.

This state of once being world leaders to then becoming the scum of the earth is a trial for us. You can better see an example of this and how it is a trial by comparing a Muslim in the west (namely US) and a Muslim in the middle east. Those in the west are more 'modernized and westernized' than those in the middle east due to who rules the land.

Now apply this to being the leaders of the world and the filth that gets stuck to your shoes where in the latter scenario you have others more powerful than you and are telling you how to follow your religion and how to live life. It was easy in some aspects being a Muslim in the golden ages of Islam, but it is more difficult to be a Muslim on this day on those same aspects, especially those living in the west. And those who don't give in to western thinking and pressure are better than those who have it easier in the middle east and better than those who give in to the pressure of other people.

First you must take into account that no country represents the state of Islam. If any country did then porn would never be available for anyone to access, it would be banned completely.

Second, there are non-Muslims in each and everyone of those countries. The assumption that at least 50% or more of the population indulge in it is of your own mind, hence it holds no weight since you don't have evidence to back it up.

And third, Islam acknowledges that humans sin and make mistakes. It even says the most attractive thing to a man is a woman. But this doesn't mean that we should be weak and have no control over our desires. Just because we are attracted to women that doesn't mean we won't get held accountable for our sins involving women.

I mean no disrespect with my questions.. I ask similar questions about all religions....This is just something I wonder about Islam.

I think the answer lies in the obedience to Allah. When Muslims were obedient to the guidelines Allah gave to the Holy Prophet Muhammad they were successful and prospered.

At the end of the 19th century a man - Mirza Ghulam Ahmad - claimed to be the Madhi/ Messiah/ Imam of the latter days foretold by the Holy Prophet, at the time he predicted. Unfortunately, like the Jews with Jesus, the majority of Muslims did not accept his claim and so like the Jews before them have lost their guidance and success.

Success only comes when Muslims live in harmony with the guidelines - shariah - given by Allah.

It is not related to 'If Islam is true then.....' , it is related to lack of practice. Remedy was prophesied by Allah and explained by Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) :

He it is Who has raised among the unlettered people a Messenger from among themselves who recites unto them His Signs, and purifies them, and teaches them the Book and Wisdom though before that they were in manifest error; And He will raise him among others of them who have not yet joined them. He is the Mighty, the Wise." Surah Al-Jumuah 62:3-4


A companion of The Holy Prophet sa relates: One day we were sitting with The Holy Prophet sa when this chapter was revealed. I enquired from Muhammad sa. Who are the people to whom the words and among others of them who have not yet joined them refer? Salman ra, a Persian was sitting among us. The Holy Prophet sa put his hand on Salman ra and said.If faith were to go up to the Pleiades, a man from among these would surely find it. (Bukhari).

Morality has three stages:
i-Raw stage of human self.
ii-When controls and wisdom are applied, human uplift to moral stage.
iii-Peace-with-God-Stage. Islamic teaching takes a practicing believer to this stage.

When human let themselves loose they fall to low, when they strive they reach to heights.

Western nations of today have learned from experience that certain morals are important for material progress, they follow these and get progress. But matter is not everything.....Are their family lives peaceful?.....Do they have best relation with parents, spouses, children and others?.......etc? They are using one eye very well i.e. eye for material life. They need spirituality to improve. That is why they too wait for a spiritual reformer. Ahmadiyya Messiah has addressed them as well.

When you go to the statics only Xnnx is considered to be visited by the "Muslim" countries but they are not ranked 1,2,3,4,5 other Western countries are.

Clearly shows that all the other adult sites are visited by Non-Muslim countries and that Muslim countries don't even belong in the top 30 except Xnxx.

When Muslims suck in politics, economy, etc, they will simply go into darkness, on the same manner Europe was living in the dark once. You are just judging based on the last one or two centuries maybe which is nothing compared to what Muslim countries achieved since Prophet Mohamed came 1400 years a go. Europeans used to go to Muslim schools because they were pretty advanced back then. It's just life bro. We suck now. Being a Muslim doesn't mean to live in heaven. I'm a Muslim, but i'm just like you when it comes to making a living and a better life for myself, my family, and the community i live at. So don't confuse earthly matters with dogmas.

This is not a question about Islam as a religion, but about Muslims. We are ... well ... more than a billion, so no wonder if couple of thousands and even millions would go astray. It happen all the time. Although Islam is strict about morality but that doesn't mean ALL Muslims adhere to its teachings.
