Some suggested TV to watch

Regrettably this is something which only the British members will be able to do but a good religious documentary is so rare on British television that I thought I had better highlight this incase anyone missed it.

On Monday, the programme "The Root Of All Evil?", will be aired by C4 at 8PM and explores why Richard Dawkins believes this to be the case. It has been advertised potentially falsely, in my view, as being offensive to theists and making the man out to be full of hatred but after reading an interview with him about the programme, he comes across as much more level headed. Definitely worth a watch in my opinion.

I don't know if it is possible to get Channel 4 from other parts of the world... I would guess not but just in case!

Dawkins was on a recent programme called 'Where was God?' or something along those lines, but only for a brief interview. Still, I always like to hear what he has to say.

There is always hope if it's popular enough, or something, that it might come to the US. At least, I hope. So everyone watch it!

Doubtful. British television programs frequently have to be "retooled" for american audiences.

Darn. :( It sounds like it would be a really interesting show to watch.

Out of interest, why? (I ask, because having toured much of Europe, I have seen British TV broacst abroad with voice-overs - the rest untouched; I mean, we speak the same language (after a fashion):D

But british humour can be pretty inflamitory to american audiences; the raciest sitcoms on american (broadcast) tv (to my limited knowledge) is laregly to be found on PBS's "70's brit comedy". Just smutty, really; and that's just "Yes, Minister"!

We should take a poll of how many americans have seen "Absolutely Fabulous", one of the funniest shows in history, i think. Next to "kids in the hall", of course.
