GOD:
"If the prophet speaks in the name of the Lord and the oracle does not come true, that oracle was not spoken by the Lord." (Deut. 18:22)

Jesus:
"Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the son of man has come." (Matt 10:23)

“Verily I say unto you, all these things shall come upon this generation” (Matt 23:36)

Jesus was speaking to the Pharisees, telling them everything in this city (adultery, wickedness) would be risen against. He clearly states, THIS GENERATION. From every thing I've read on this subject, there is no way that Greek "this generation" could even mean any other generation but THAT one.

“So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass, until all these things be fulfilled." (Matt 24:33-35)

Jesus was telling his apostles they'd see EVERYTHING that was going to happen. The stars falling from the sky and so on. Once again, there is no way "this generation" can possibly mean any other generation.

All these to me point to the fact that Jesus is false.

I don't want any debating, just how you see YOUR side.

Thanks.

Then there is no proof that Jesus was even what he was said to be then if we look at it that way.

He could have been a simple carpenter that people heard stories of and decided to turn him into the Son of God.

Have you considered the effect of these verses was aimed directly at you?
When spoken the words were aimed at the people there at hand.
Do you think that is as far as a religious idea can go?

If so, the words would have died with the Carpenter.....they did not.

And if you think that meditation is difficult....
try resolving the more obvious contradictions.

As for Jesus being false....
only if you can't reconcile what He was talking about.

Try focusing on His parables for awhile.
That should set your head on fire.

The 1st centruy Christians understood this prophecy to refer to the ravaging of Judea and destruction of Jerusalem that the Roman legions perpetrated in 70ce. Their understanding of these signs caused the so called 'flight to Pella' that preserved the Jerusalem Christian community in the Decapolis.

It seems perfectly reasonable that the generation of 30ce (the children of 30ce) would live to see the Legions marching in 70ce.
