in the Quran Surah 3:3 say

SAHIH INTERNATIONAL
"He has sent down upon you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel."

Does Mean you believe in the Torah ( 1st 5 books of the Holy Scriptures) and the Gospels (Matthew,Mark,Luke and John). would this be our common ground or its referencing another Torah and Gospel I'm not familiar with?

Sorry, not a muslim but here is something on it.

Does the Qur'an teach Muslims to believe in the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel?

If so, why don't Muslims accept the Bible?

The Qur'an commands Muslims to believe in the revelations given to all of God's prophets. These prophets include Moses, David, and Jesus (peace be upon them). Muslims must believe in the revelations received by such prophets. Books associated with them are called by the names Torah, Psalms, and Gospel. Muslims, therefore believe in the original Torah, Psalms and Gospel.

The Bible contains books by the same names and other books besides. Muslims are not commanded to believe in the other books. To be more specific, the Bible contains 66 books in the Protestant version, and 73 in the Catholic version. In the Bible, consisting 66 or 73 books, the Torah is represented as 5 books, the Psalms as 1, and the Gospel in 4 versions. This makes a total of 10 books within the Bible. Muslims are not required to believe in any more than the ten books. But that assumes that the 10 books referred to are the same as what the Qur'an refers to when the Qur'an speaks of the Torah, Psalms and Gospel.

A further check proves that these books changed contents over time although their names remained the same. To understand this concept, consider that a book like the Encyclopedia Britannica changes its contents and size several times throughout its history, yet is called by the same name. Obviously the Encyclopedia Britannica is not the same as it used to be. A closer check shows that something similar occurred with the Torah, Psalms, and Gospel.

For a long time many people believed that Moses wrote the five books called Torah in the Bible. But now it is widely known that Moses could not have written those books in their entirety. One evidence for this is that Chapter 34 of the book of Deuteronomy describes the death and burial of Moses, and how the people mourned for him after his death. Obviously, Moses did not write that passage. Biblical scholars also acknowledge that the present composition of the Psalms cannot in its entirety be traced back to David.

The Gospels is a more complex matter because the Bible contains not one but four. There is only one true Gospel which Jesus preached, but these are represented in four versions each according to a different author. The Qur'an requires Muslims to believe in the original Gospel that Jesus preached before the four versions were written. Everyone agrees that the four versions were written long after Jesus.

Unfortunately RF doesn’t have regular Muslims contributors as it used to. Although I’m a Baha’i, Baha’is like Muslim’s believe Muhammed was a Messenger of God and that the Holy Quran in the authenticated respository of the word of God. The Baha’i Faith emerged out of Islam as Christianity emerged out of Judaism and although an independent religion has a special relationship it.

Muhammad teaches that it is not enough to believe in him but must also believe in the prophets who have gone before with special emphasis on Jesus who brought the Gospel and Moses who brought the Torah.

We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam).

That is correct, just as it was said in the previous posts.
We don't believe it's 100% accurate because like it was said we are not sure about the writters of the Bible.
Obviously anyone who have read both the Bible and the Quran can spot the differences.

Muslims are not obliged to read the Bible, so you may find a lot of muslims who haven't read it.

why question the writers of the bible? if the quran called the bible or the Torah and gospels the book of truth how can man corrupt something that Allah says is truth?

Yes people can corrupt the Books, God said :

5.44
Indeed, We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light. The prophets who submitted [to Allah ] judged by it for the Jews, as did the rabbis and scholars by that with which they were entrusted of the Scripture of Allah, and they were witnesses thereto.

And for the Quran :

15.9
Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian.

So God is not the guardian of the previous Revelations but people were in charge of it.

how important is it to know the truth written in those books before any type of corruption may have took place?

It's important for those who want to understand what exactly happened.
Those who for exemple want to know who is this or that prophet, his message etc

Muslims don't have elements (or few) concerning some prophets so they only have the Bible, Israiliyat ( Isra'iliyyat - Wikipedia) and Hadiths.

thank you I'll read it and still would like to talk to someone of Muslim faith still but still I definitely appreciate the link

I am an Arab and i believe and read both the Tora, Psalms, Gospel and Quran. What are your questions? The Quran is very clear about judging with the Gospel, read 5:47. The Quran is very clear about upholding the Tora and the Gospel, read 5:68. The Quran is very clear about the believers who believe in the Quran and the Previous Scriptures, read 2:4. The Quran is very clear about believing in the Scriptures and the Prophets, read 2:285. Etc. etc. etc.

Don't be fooled by oraganised religions, such as the Sunnis, Catholics, Pharisees etc. they are all the same, and just a fabrication made by the governments in those times to monopolize and control the people. They invented fabrications in the name of God and Hes Messengers and started telling people to uphold it besides the Scriptures, they invented the Narrations in 'Islam', they invented the Trinity in 'Christianity', they invented the Talmud in 'Judaism' etc.
Stay away from them. Read Scripture alone. And learn the languages, Greek, Hebrew and Arabic, if you really want to read the originals. All these translations are distorted and made by the sectarians.

And i also saw how JW is a sect, stay away from them, they say Jesus Christ is Michael the Angel, they don't believe in Hell, etc. And even worse, they don't even use the right Greek New Testament. They use the self made Greek Westcott and Hort version and the self made Greek Nestle Aland version, instead of the Greek New Testament that can be found in the Greek Church. So even before they start with their translations, they will have errors in them.

The Quran says the Jews because of their book being flawed are unbelievers.

Nah that's just a fabrication which you are spreading.

The Quran in 5:68 tells the people of the Book to uphold the Tora and the Gospel. And in 5:47 it tells us to Judge with the Gospel. The real believers are those who believe in the Quran, and the Previous Scriptures, 2:4. We believe in the Scriptures and in the Prophets, 2:285.

The only ones who are disbelieving are the sectarians. The Sunnis, Catholics, Pharisees etc. mainly all organised religions. They reject the Scriptures and turn to what is invented and fabricated and uphold it besides the Scriptures.
Such as the ahadith, trinity, talmud etc. they uphold it besides the Quran, Gospel and Tora.

Because they are being fooled by the Saudis and fabricators or the Ahadith. The Ahadith are invented 300 years after Muhammad. They are narrations, thats what ahadith means, invented in the name of Muhammad. So that they can control the people.
The Saudis teach to ditch the Previous Scriptures. Why? Because without them it's hard to see the bigger picture. Knowledge is power. They want them to live in their black boxes and misinterpret the Quran and follow the invented ahadith doctrines.
The most religious form of 'Islam' is Salafism. It's being regulated by the king of Saud. And Shakyh ala Shaykh is their religious leader. And they say that their interpretation and conclusions weight higher the Quran. Enough said, case closed.

so the Quran is in Harmony with the Gospels and Torah?

The Quran says that the Tora and the Gospel are Light and Guidance. It teaches to believe in them, and uphold them, and Judge with the Gospel.

All that anti Bible messages are just a fabrication made by the sectarians. They dont want the Arabs to read other Scriptures. They dont want them to see the bigger picture. Else their whole fabricated religion based on narrations will crumble.
