I think we can all agree that there is nothing we can all agree on, including this sentence. And this one. And this too. And this.
I disagree

I think we can all agree that there is nothing we can all agree on, including this sentence. And this one. And this too. And this.
So do I. I think. What was the question?I disagree
I can't. I eat both (obviously not from mcd). There you go, example 1 is inedible and example 2 is delicious. Surely we all agree on that.
I see two images of fries.
Should have gone to Specsavers.I see two images of fries.
The first must be fries cos no-one in their right mind would put foliage on chips. But let me try:
Fries
Chips:
Sorry, fat fingers! (like chips )Hey!!! Where did that post go?
What does the bag say. Specsavers my sweet patootie.
Where @ChristineM is from, what you think of as a chip would be called a crisp. Now an argument about what to call them has begun.
Since they are fried that does seem appropriate. But I always thought of a chip as something rather thin. Like a chip of glass.
Belgian? I thought they only invented chocolate. Not candy.Okay, compromise. Since it was a French (actually Belgium, but they aren't here) invention lets call them "frites"
Hey look! You have shops that just sell potato chips. But you guys must have quality issues. We never have to reassure the customers by guaranteeing that our chips are crisp. The first must be fries cos no-one in their right mind would put foliage on chips.
Obviously the second one is crisps. (And note it also says "chip shop", not "fries shop" )

Why are french fries called French fries?| French fries originBelgian? I thought they only invented chocolate. Not candy.
Actually, what Brits call chips are often sold as "soggy" - typically from yer local chippy (fish & chip shop). And I think yuk too.Hey look! You have shops that just sell potato chips. Eew, soggy chips! Who would want those?
Well some of them. As I pointed out, it appears that they have some quality control problems. Soggy chips . Mon Dieu!Where @ChristineM is from, what you think of as a chip would be called a crisp.
I'm sure we can argue about something else. Get @ChristineM wound up on "white chocolate." She will get furious. Why are french fries called French fries?| French fries origin
Shh! Don't tell. That will really mess up the debate.
Hey! We can all agree on no soggy chips.Actually, what Brits call chips are often sold as "soggy" - typically from yer local chippy. And I think yuk too.
Ooh, a white chocolate omelette. Or is that hitting below the belt?I'm sure we can argue about something else. Get @ChristineM wound up on "white chocolate." She will get furious.
