Sometimes I am ridiculously positive!

When I take a good look at the state of the world - wars - addictions - violence - suicide - poverty - injustice - I really DO wonder why I am not completely depressed ALL of the time.

It almost seems crazy to be optimistic!

What about you? What keeps you from sinking into despair?

I'm not entirely sure. I used to be really angsty and find the bad things in the world overwhelming but now I don't. Could be related to Lou Reed's observation:

There are problems in these times,
But, woo!, none of them are mine!
