Led Zep rocks! :jam: I only heard one live album years ago and was not impressed.ChrisP said:Led Zep are still the best blues rock/blues metal and the Original Heavy Metal group. if you're not into that style I can understand it, they're pretty distinctive... heard any of their live stuff?
I've heard many state that Jimmy Hendrix was the originator of heavy metal, which is a statement I can actually agree with. As far as live stuff goes, I've found that live renditions are usually worse then the recorded renditions so I could really care less about hearing any of their live stuff. If it is any consolation, my parents have all of their original albums along with many others.Led Zep are still the best blues rock/blues metal and the Original Heavy Metal group. if you're not into that style I can understand it, they're pretty distinctive... heard any of their live stuff?
Wow, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, and Danzig are three of my favorite bands!SoliDeoGloria said:I still have yet to understand what people like so much about The Doors, Led Zeplin, Danzig, any rap that has been put out after the year 1993, any hip hop, etc. I'd probably better stop before I make a lot more enemies.
Don't worry Soli, I understand.SoliDeoGloria said:I still have yet to understand what people like so much about The Doors, Led Zeplin, Danzig, any rap that has been put out after the year 1993, any hip hop, etc. I'd probably better stop before I make a lot more enemies.

I love hating all country, not just him.MidnightBlue said:What I actually love to hate -- that is, I think it's crap but I like listen to it anyway -- is practically anything by Garth Brooks.
Dude! You're making me too jealous!YmirGF said:Don't worry Soli, I understand.
The Doors on vinyl are quite good, however in the latter part of their career they were notoriously poor in concert. Jimbo was a little too given to excess.
On the other hand, I simply did not overly like Robert Plants voice prior to seeing them Live. In all honesty, Led Zeppelin is perhaps the most stunning live act, original lineup, that any band ever attained. Even Pink Floyd didn't hit the sheer energy of the music.
(I have seen both bands twice, and Robert Plant again on his first solo tour with Phil Collins playing drums.)
