I would say that if there are hidden spiritual truths about life they most likely would be found through ones own thought process as apposed to a book. What are your thoughts on it?

Texts can provide food for thought (haha), but beyond that, truth is not revealed through thinking. Imo.I would say that if there are hidden spiritual truths about life they most likely would be found through ones own thought process as apposed to a book. What are your thoughts on it?
revealed? so basically its your own thought though.I disagree.
Such truths are generally revealed through study of texts, through spiritual disciplines, or through mystical experience.

You have no way of knowing that your thoughts are any truer than spiritual texts.
I would say ones own thoughts are inherently unreliable.I would say that if there are hidden spiritual truths about life they most likely would be found through ones own thought process as apposed to a book. What are your thoughts on it?

hidden, someone hid them. gimme a breakI would not describe them as hidden which implies someone hid them. I would prefer "not experienced".
The mind is also what Buddhists call the "monkey mind" because as WIkipedia puts it - the ordinary mind is "unsettled; restless; capricious; whimsical; fanciful; inconstant; confused; indecisive; uncontrollable".
But properly directed and balanced by the heart, it can be very helpful. Books can also be of use because they can help focus the mind and reduce it's "monkey" nature.
So to me it's both not either/or.
just be down to earth. not so difficult and weirdSorry. I’ll make it a point to be more shallow in your threads moving forward.
both i agree but i think the truth comes from within not textI would not describe them as hidden which implies someone hid them. I would prefer "not experienced".

here we go.., haha not even gonna respond to that anymore. ive heard that a million times hereI don't think there can be a spiritual truth since nothing spiritual can be verified.
I mean if you are going to call something a truth you ought to have some way of verifying it.
