Special Needs/Disabled/Handicapped

So the best conceptualization I've obtained based on reading this thread and my own best ideas, is that in life, in the workplace, in relationships, Special needs/disabled/handicapped people don't get a free pass, but Social Equity should perhaps be applied.

And also, in some cases, they may need a different form of discipline, I'm guessing.

When I say Social Equity, what I mean is this. Picture three people. One short. One medium height. And one tall. The tall one can see over a fence. The other two can't. The shortest one is given two boxes so they can see over the fence. The middle height one is given one box so they can see over. Since the tall person is advantaged and capable to see over, they aren't given any boxes.

@beenherebeforeagain - In myself saying this, did I misunderstand some of your views on the matter? Just wondered.

Here's a picture I was thinking of:

In America at least, unfortunately, it seems that some of the tall resent having to provide boxes for the short while they get nothing at all. "Let those shorter people get their own boxes! If they need to work harder to get their boxes, then that's just the free market at work. If they want to see the game, they'll make the right choices so they can."

Sounds like America.

I think you've got it. The part I didn't talk about, though, is that those without disabilities or with lesser disabilities need to cut some slack for those with more.

Because there is such a range of disabilities, it's often not practical for the individual to make everyone else aware of their limits...and unfortunately, there are always people who will try to exploit someone else's disabilities...

By the way, for what it's worth, I tend to see a lot of Americans I've met as favoring Equality and not Equity:
