Spiritual Dreams

I had a dream about a falcon on the roof beneath my bedroom window, with particular emphasis on His left eye. This is Heru, the falcon-headed God Whose left-eye was wounded in battle and healed by another God, Djehuty.

I once had a dream I watched the night turn into day as the sun overtook the moon. I was comparing it to a picture I had of the same, and noticed how beautiful it was in real life (in the dream), and I started worshipping Ra.

I had another dream about Heru and Ra where each represented the night and day, respectively (the left eye of Heru is said to represent the moon and His right the sun, and the right eye you see depicted in Egyptian art is called the Eye of Ra, while the left is called the Eye of Heru). My avatar is the Eye of Heru (or Wedjat).

@Psalm23 How about you?

One time I recorded a dream on August the 1st. I don’t know what year it was. The dream I had involved heaven. There was this group of people I was with. We had either passed through one or two gates( not sure which) before arriving at the main gate. This one particular gate I had held open with my elbow and I believe I was on my knee as well. Anyway once at the final gate, there was this man and he was trying to get into heaven with a quarter but the gate did not open for him. I walked up to the gatekeeper and said plainly “ I want to see Jesus”. The gatekeeper said “ What?”. He acted like he either didn’t hear me or was surprised. And so I repeated myself “ I want to see Jesus”. The gate opened and I was through. I noticed I had two keys in my hand and I asked him if I should leave them outside. I’m not sure what I did with the keys. Afterwards I am walking along with this person, there may have been a waterfall and some music and I am thinking to myself “ Where is he?” Then the person next to me answered ,
“ Look around.”

That's quite the experience. Full of symbolism, too.

I think the quarter is significant in itself as well. When I was a child there was a person at church who I was told would give me a quarter for memorizing bible verses. So I would keep going to him to quote a verse.

Several months ago there had been a dream that came into my head at night. It had me in the backseat of this car, with this man, his wife and child. He took us into a lake in which the car started sinking down ward. Then after this; a new scene emerged to a chain link fence to my side, in which my body was running away from the man.

Then came up against 3 dark figures who had all shiny knife blades in which caused me to fall to my knees. After this a new scene emerged in which was in this room full of darkness, yet there was a door standing in front me. From the floor, raising up, went on wards to open the door in which was a bit stuck.

Using my shoulder pushed the door open which lead into a new scene which was a resemblance to my childhood home which had two people in there though could not see them. Hearing them caused me to run and escape to the front door which, greeted me to a white outside, where there was no ground or sky. Running out on to this new scene; - there was a road that once in front the house just now all white as all get out.

Turning back could see the house; and from beyond the house there was nothing but splendorous white light. From the background was these wavy beautiful colors just protruding from this pillar of white light.

I had a dream once about very good and sweet tasting bread.
I had a great day when I woke up.
That evening I saw something strange in the sky and I still like to believe I saw angels that day.

Another symbolic dream I had took place in a city.
The place was a mess, it was total anarchy there.
I was walking past a wrecked police car and the youths responsible for that didn't even bother to run away, they were just hanging out al casual like.
One of them didn't seem so bad and offered me to escort me out of town, I gladly accepted the help.
Once we arrived at the outskirts of town he suddenly started attacking me for no reason.
He grabbed a rock or a tile and lashed out at me.
I was carrying one of my cats under my coat and protected him like a baby.
I just sort of rolled up into a ball and was prepared for the worst.
But when the "Good Samaritan" hit me it just felt like a soft thump.
When I looked up, he vanished.
Being in the outskirts of town I felt that the worst was over and just kept moving.
Eventually I arrived at a train station.
I felt so relieved, even though I had no idea where to go.
But anyplace away from there was good enough for me.

What are some spiritual dreams you have had?
I have some form of spiritual dreams every night, but can only remember parts of it for a moment when i wake up, maybe because i do not pay attention to the dreams and do not try to remember them.
If the dream did stuck in my mind, i would ask my sufi teacher what it could mean. But often it is only a form of "cleaning out the thoughts"

Writing them down when you first wake up may help

In the part of life i living now the dreams are not in focus of my attention, and my spiritual teacher ask me to leave them as they are. If it is a dream/communication that i am supposed to remember and learn from, it will stick even if i dont want it to :)

But yes i can understand people like to investigate in their dreams :)

I have a reoccurring dream of floating above a fire. It changes from time to time. One dream has been during the day and had birds swirling around with me. Another has been at night with fireflies. There's always chanting and rhythmic drumming.

I believe dreams are actual experiences and can be a good way to connect to God since we are not constrained by rational thought and material reality and so are freer to interact with the Divine.
