Spitting toothpaste into sink

I’ve always spit it into the toilet. I would think it would clog the sink. I used to spit in the sink before I had clogging issues and since I have stopped my sink no longer clogs. Do you think it was the toothpaste? Should I request to people who might live with me to spit it in the toilet?

Most likely a bathroom sink is clogging because hair and soap has accumulated around the pop-up drain stopper mechanism. They are easy to clean, just look on line and I am sure you'll find a how-to video.

Same is true for a tub drain.

Normally tooth paste will not cause a drain to plug up.

(I brush my teeth in the shower, so what do I know). :)

I’ve been spitting toothpaste into the sink for 50+ years and never clogged a sink. I always, of course, wash the sink down with water after.

There is fluoride in toothpaste. Never touch the stuff.
