Maybe I'm just PMSing today, but I'm so depressed after the BP oil spill, and now reminded of how St. Louis is losing it's classical music radio station KFUO-FM to Christian programming........yet another Christian station. We already have, like, seven of them around here. No more opera on Saturdays. No more Mozart sonatas.
No more opportunities for me or other classical music enthusiasts to tune in to the radio around here. The spokesperson for the St. Louis Symphony discussed lately how this is a big loss. The station is looking for other frequencies to broadcast, and are hopeful for finding another station, but this is the end of an era in St. Louis after 62 years of classical music broadcasting. You can see their website here.
Now excuse me while I go and cry for a bit. :sad4:
