I noticed that it seems to be expected that men watch porn, and this seems to be fairly socially acceptable. However it seems that the attitude changes when it comes to the topic of women watching porn.
Would any women own up to watching it and do people think it is more socially acceptable for men to watch it than women? Regardless of orientation?
I can think of two angles for this.
One is that women are culturally seen as not as "desperate" or in "need" of sex than men (women can have it but men "
need" it)
Women masturbating in itself is not a default assumption as it is that men masturbate (I dont know if as many women masturbate. I know my friends do, but that's about it)
The other angles is that I think they are less interested with such stimuation for their sexuality. Again, my she friends have told me they have seen porn, but both prefer other forms of sexual private alone stimulation when they want it. For example erotica od some kind. One of them when she watches she tends to watch gay (male) porn but she says she prefers movies where there is sexuality or series where there is sexuality than the direct porn movie or clip.
I honestly care little for such things and cared little in my times of more... happy internet searching
. I wanted some women that seemed pleased and were naked and moved in sexy ways and the more straight in your face nude generally the better.
So frm that angle, I think male's and female's tastes tend to be different. My ex loved those writtings about romances nd such that did include erotica, I think they have been called "women's porn" or something like that?
In summary, I don't know
But those have been my limited experiences and those are my guesses on the subject.
