I have some, okay many, little delusions. I've had them all my life. When I was 10 I thought aeroplanes were spying on me because I was an experiment, because it seemed whenever I was out there were planes. Now I think my reflection is going to come through the mirror and kill me. Whenever I'm in my backyard I think some random bloke is going to come out from behind the bins and try murdering me. The list goes on, but this...

This is more delusional than anything I've ever thought.

The Foreign Secretary, Dominic Raab, has said the UK will work with partners to hold the Taliban to account and seek to encourage the establishment of an inclusive Afghan Government. Measures to enforce this may include sanctions or holding back aid. The US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, has adopted a similar position.

Afghanistan: Development, UK aid and the future - House of Commons Library (parliament.uk)

Please, what is going on? I am completely, genuinely confused.

This is the Taliban. They're not going to make an 'inclusive' government, and we're still funding them! We're sending money to a known terrorist group we've been fighting for literally 20 years. Now we've just left them billions of dollars' worth of military equipment and we're still shovelling money to them! And please, we need to use our heads, this money is not going to humanitarian aid. It's going to the jihadis who run the place. This is talking about sanctions and aid.

"Hey Taliban, you'd better create an inclusive government or else we're not going to fund you anymore!"

I'm sorry what????

I was unaware of what sort of aid was going to Afghanistan and what the sources were. It appears a lot of it was through the UN and merely ending the war was not going to end the aid. If they have become dependent on that aid and it has not ended a legitimate threat to that aid may make the Taliban think twice. Unfortunately I have my doubts.

Not to mention, a terrorist group that you've funded before for even longer, until it spectacularly blew up in your collective faces.

You are also funding Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Israel and Pakistan, and not even asking them politely to ease off on their discriminatory, authoritarian and oppressive politics.

Dude you should know me better!

I don't want any of our money going to foreign nations by way of 'aid'.

Drivable, doesn't make it operable. They could run some people over perhaps? Which is tragic. But I doubt the cannons and guns work.

It's more a show of deterrence, I'm guessing.
One hopes, certainly.

Afghanistan is a worn torn country ravaged by 20 years of U.S. and N.A.T.O. military occupation. I'd like humanitarian assistance, i.e.- food and vaccines, to the Afghan people in order to save them from starvation and death by C.O.V.I.D.-19. In return for continual humanitarian aid, I'd expect any of the few remaining Americans left stranded there to be able to return safely from Afghanistan to the U.S. I'm confident the Taliban would be willing to provide security and crowd control in order for there to be an orderly and fair distribution of food supplies and medicine to needy Afghan people.

Those places aren't the OP topic, are they?
How about next time ask for someone's position instead of arsing out outlandish assumptions that aren't based in reality.

How can we believe that when the Taliban is showing it's basically the same Taliban? Like their promises of rights for women they didn't actually grant.

It's nuts, isn't it?

No talk whatsoever of stopping the insanity and kicking them out from the Capitol.

Yeah, I don't think anyone is going to get behind that colossal mistake again. England failed, Russia failed, America failed, it seems reasonable to assume China will also fail at whatever Xi is up to.
The outside can assist, but the work has to.be done by those within.

Since trying to kill the Taliban with bombs and bullets doesn't work. please let us consider killing them with kindness; I'd like us to have an understanding of their culture.

Taliban culture deserves nothing better than extinction. Such repressive and extreme ideologies have no proper place running a state. Such as, we can assume they'll attach a price and stipulations for recieving aid, such as how Christians have long done and continue to do.
A woman without a man? No aid for her but there is a world of legal problems in store for her.
We shouldn't support that.

A report on NPR several days ago said that the USA has suspended all aid to Afghanistan until further notice. The US state department says it will not fund a government controlled by the Taliban. They did say that if the Taliban respects human rights that at some point aid may resume.
