I am quite ignorant about Christianity. So when I read this thread I decided it was time to get a little more knowledge:

Could someone explain the role of Paul? What has he contributed?

Take care,
Kerr

He took Christianity to the Gentiles.
He wrote about Half the the new testament books (at least most people believe so)

He was the single-most Important Apostle for spreading the gospel beyond Israel.
Much if not most of Roman Christianity is based on his words.
It is his Idea of Christianity that most people recognise as Christianity.

He changed Christianity from being a Jesus sect of Judaism to being a separate religion, that did not follow Jewish law.

He is mostly responsible for Christianity as we know it.
