All experience is subjective. Science attempts to eliminate bias as much as possible. I don't see science tackling enlightenment any time soon.

If a teacher could teach enlightenment, he'd have a lot of followers. Some do make the claim, but there is little proof of success.

So that leaves it on the individual.
