Asallamualakum my brothers and sisters.

Honestly, i don't think that there should be sunnahs and ****es because there should only be one muslim and everyone with the same practices that are told to do so and sunnah and ****e don't exist in Islam. To me, It's haraam! There should only be one type of muslim who is devoted to Allah and believes in him fully and that everyone should go shoulder by shoulder and pray together. So what do you guys think?

I suppose schisms will always occur if people are interpreting texts differently.

It's mostly historical disagreements between the Sunni and Shi'ah over who was to lead the Muslim community and they have slightly different views on the scripture and hadith. Sunni Muslims make up about 90% of the Muslim population, Shi'ah make up about 10%.
