When I use to paint I would invariably have the numbers showing through the paint. As an artist how do you handle this problem.
What were the 5 most defining moments of your live. Particularly if you can space them out age wise. Some when you were young something when you were neither old not young and something recentish. What they were, why they were important and how did they effect you. affected? who knows.
Thats very wise, its hard to heal from a wound you do not know you have. Thank you for sharing. If you want to PM me any other stories I only plan on selling them to The National Enquirer.Good questions, Iti!
Well, I would consider most defining moments too personal for an internet forum. One that I don't mind talking about is when I realized I'd been in an abusive relationship with my second wife.
I was in a used bookstore, and I noticed a little pamphlet, "Into the Light". The cover said something about abused women on it, and I was hearing a lot of my female friends at the time describing their abusive boyfriends to me. So, I initially picked it out of the stacks thinking it might help me understand them and maybe even advise them.
I only had to read one or two chapters before it dawned on me the pamphlet could have been a case study of my second marriage. The resemblances were astonishing, right down to the various ways in which I had denied to myself through-out that marriage that I was being emotionally abused.
I think that could have been the start of my doing something about the fallout I was still suffering from a few years later from having been abused. Today I'm one of the happiest people I personally know, but that would not be the case, I think, if I hadn't started to do something about the fallout.
