These exams don't imply a psychological analysis, involving the attitude with the students.

Europe is far from being a monolithic continent. There are countries that are amazingly even more straight laced than the US. There are countries that have amazingly sexist attitudes towards women (ahem Italy) The continent has just about every variation that you can think of.
