I liked it when I saw it a few weeks ago, but at the time I was still so smitten with Juno that I don't think I got as into it as I could have. Now that I've worked the initial Juno excitement out of my system, I really want to go see Sweeney Todd a second time and give it a fair shake.

No, actually, quite the opposite. But I know what you mean; I had the same feeling when I saw "Once Upon a Time in Mexico."

I saw Sweeney Todd live about 12 years ago in London. It is one of my favorite musicals. Therefore, I seriously doubt I'd bother with the movie..... I'm sure it will ruin it like other movies did the books; Jurasic Park for example.

Don't be fooled by trailers. A well-done trailer can make anything look good.

Everybody should see it if they enjoy Johnny Depp films.

And even if you don't :p

I loved it. I'm definately seeing it again, and then buying the DVD.

We will wait until it comes out on DVD. I adore Depp. And Burton rocks! I'm looking forward to it.

If you recognize an actor as anyone other than the role /he's playing, doesn't it ruin the whole film?

Depp was one dimensional in this film (the character on stage is much more dynamic). Also, my wife commented that it just seemed like Johnny Depp was singing and not the character. That's not good.
