synchronicity - the simultaneous occurrence of events which appear significantly related but have no discernible causal connection.
A close friend of mine he had to put his cat down yesterday because is was sick and suffering and there was no hope for a cure. He was quite distraught about it. It was an older cat so the cat lived a full life. But as you know dealing with death is a major part of every religion.
I happen to be a fan of Russell Brand. I like a lot videos he does plus he's a great comedian and philosopher. So I just happened to look as his channel and found this video:
Russell Brand's cat died the same day as my friend's. Ooooh, very synchronistic. So I watched Russell's video and his heart felt eulogy and thoughts about his cat and death in general I though were pretty well thought out. I sent a link to my friend. I don't know if he watch it yet and if it helped him with his mourning.
I thought Russel's made me think of my dog that died. I rescued a greyhound. Big barrel chested dogs don't live very long and she had a number of health issues coming off the track from all the drugs. There was no doubt that dog and I had a very deep and profound connection with each other. On the last day I saw her she gave me a huge chatter even though she was in a lot of pain. Greyhounds have a very peculiar way of showing their affection. They chatter their front teeth.
I don't experience too much synchronicity and this one was a good one. Nothing like some good tears to get you appreciate what you have.
