Damn, and I thought my 3rd grade teacher was a loon for cussing at us and trying to tape me to a chair. Honestly, there's a lot of crazy and abusive teachers. I never understood how these people get a license to work with children.

There should be a registry of teachers, cops, judges,
clerics, etc who've behaved in a manner that would
prevent them from ever getting another job with such
authority over others. Don't let them just move from
one job to another, only to repeat their past crimes
with new victims.

I don't know but they should be put away for a long time and never again be allowed to work with any children or vulnerable adults.
They should also be studied, to learn the mechanisms of these callous, anti-social behaviors. They are valuable research subjects.
To fix a problem, it helps to understand it. If we can't recognize or test for problematic social abnormalities, we're going to keep hiring unfit employees.

Put them in a maze to run around for rewards & punishment.
They could replace rats, who shouldn't endure such cruel
experiments.

Beter a PET scan or fMRI. Potential teachers/police/ politicians/&c. could simply be scanned, to easily discover problematic neuro-psychological abnormalities.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

While I agree on principle, that at the same time sounds very dystopian as well.

As long as the scanning done is only to
cops & others with total authority over
their charges, and the rest of the populace
is free to be what they'll be.

Yeah, but that is in the end a federal idea and that goes against state and indivudal rights.
