Teachers evolved into priests

Ancient upper class society was divided into Brahmins (teachers) and Kshatriya (warriors).

Warriors evolved into warlords then kings and finally emperors. In the same way teachers evolved into priests.

Teachers couldnt teach astrophysics, evolution, and the millions of years of human history directly (even though the highly educated were fully aware of these things) so they taught these things indirectly using mythology.

Eventually emperors became deified and the two sytems (teacher and warriors) became unified. Caesar became god and mythology was replaced with Christianity

Today the state has completely taken over teaching
