"Sexism" has connotations of injustice.
But I say it's OK where it serves a useful purpose, eg, segregating some sports, particularly for children.

If it's okay in those cases, does that mean sexism can also be good (yes or no question)? Otherwise how can it ever be okay if it can never be good?

Good or bad isn't determined by the label applied.
If women want to get together to play volleyball with other women, this is fine with me.
But if government prohibits women from playing volleyball, this is wrongo pongo.

Hi Folks..

Mestemia; Do try to keep it real - if you can....Indeed, HOW do you even cope out in the real world..?...Its a mystery given some of the conclusions you often jump to here...lol...

Nobody is saying she is asking to be raped - foolish statement aimed at ridicule and nothing more...Just shows you only use this surface mind for guidance with its built in knee jerk reaction...as I say - foolish...So, as said keep it real...

Go LOOK at her picture - and understand she is "hot" for lack of a better term, would you agree..??....Would ALLl you guys agree..??....

And see then there is no way in a high school enviroment that she does NOT know this about herself is there..?...Boys will be constantly telling her and hitting on her and she will be well and truly USED to the attention.....Probably even seeks it out and craves it probably gets all kinds of social kudos becauseo fit - yes..??....She WILL know full well without question what her dress code is provoking in the guys around and that will be her aim and intent TO provoke that response when she CHOOSES to do that....Keep it REAL Folks - no way does she NOT realise she is good looking and no way does she NOT realise the affect she may have....

Indeed - seems to me - intuitively - she did it on purpose and specifically FOR the teacher and FOR the reaction - as clearly this was not a one off issue but a "repeat offence", for after all if it was FIRST time then the teacher would have confronted HER directly yes..?....Let it sink in...Student does something you dont agree with in YOUR class, you tell them DIRECTLY to stop - its YOUR responsibility as head of that class......

But look, he went to HIS superior and had THEM intervene - tells us - if we are smart and honest - that yes indeed this IS a repeat episode and the girl has probably been told many times previously, politely and quietly in all probability, but has chosen to refuse the advise and sought out the attention once again..

I remind you all - she is quite hot yes..?..She is indeed a SEXUAL CREATURE and look she is indeed FULLY AWARE of her status AS that....UNDENIABLE if we are honest and forget all that pc nonesense ;)
My apologies.
Seems I was to subtle in my sarcasm.

My point being that it is not the girls fault that the guys cannot control themselves.
You know, "it isn't the fault of the rapist that he raped her. She was clearly asking for it because of what she was wearing" line of bull **** so many rapists try.

I still call bull ****.
Though this time I will plainly do so since subtly seems to be a lost knowledge..

You are blaming the girls "being hot" for the boys being *** holes.

Should any clothing at all be required?

Should any clothing at all be required?
My apologies.
I thought you were trying to be funny the first time around.
Now I suspect you are serious...

Of course they should wear clothes.
However, even if they showed up butt *** naked, it is still no excuse for the boys to behave like cavemen.

Serious....but mischievous.

Why should clothing be required?
What is caveman behavior?

It seems that people......
- Object to any micro-regulation of the girl's clothing.
- Believe that if boys behave any way other than socially proper, that this (eg, becoming aroused) is wrong.
- Are not facing the fact that on male, female or other, clothing or the lack thereof has the potential to be distracting.
- Boys are the problem.
- Girls aren't a problem.
- Some believe our social conventions should be very different....more Eurostanian, more primitive jungle dwelling, etc.

I sense some incompatible premises here.

Hygiene for starters. Want to sit down bare butt where I've just sat down bare butt?

. . . . . . . . . . .Well, maybe you do.
.
That's reasonable.
Students should carry their own personal seat cushions around with them.
(But no gang colors, religious symbols, or commericial advertising on them.)

Next challenge?

No - Im not even "blaming" anyone - there is no blame to place here at all is there..?..just saying this is the way of things in the natural world the real world situation within that classroom setting....You cant blame the girl for her looks - but how she uses that to manipulate is another aspect entirely...And no the guys are not being a holes at all are they - just being guys - and remember it was the TEACHER who called foul want it..?...A MATURE ADULT saw the potential problem and put an end to it.......

what it is - clearly - is a girl pushing her boundaries and loving the attention her beauty brings - there is NOTHING WRONG with that at all - except the classroom setting itself (and perhaps her age though that is a debate all by itself) is highly INAPPROPRIATE - and yes SHE DOES REALISE what she does, obviously so unless she is deaf dumb and blind.....If there is any "blame" then as you may see it - then for sure place it at the girls own door - for she did it on purpose, after repeat warning - I have no doubt of that whatsoever as the teacher was forced to take it higher, shows us he had ALREADY failed to deal with her PREVIOUSLY....Repeat offence for sure and for sure she KNEW full well what she did.....I believe that IS the case here....She isnt hurt or upset by any of this Folks - she is loving it all the more I almost guarantee it...Can you imagine NOW her fame and popularity at that school..?...And I tell you all that status is ALL IMPORTANT to the students, primary concern ALWAYS..Keep it REAL...

The teacher obviously had previous issue with her - probably over similar things - obvious...So the girl - we can almost guarantee - has already been told - politely - about her overall conduct and potential to distract and dominate a class...She probably asked what the problem was and probably had it explained fully to her....She then CHOSE to act to bring this confrontation about - again obvious - and the only motive I can see why she would wan to place herself AGAIN into such confrontation, is because she craves the attention and noteriety that her beauty brings to her....Im telling you she is manipulating it and knows exactly what she is about - perhaps she didnt think it would go that far - but trust me - she is loving it now it has happened...

Im speaking from experience of course - botha as a guy who was once a student surrounded by hot girls - and also as a father of a beautiful young lady who faced similar things as SHE went through school....That girls father should tell her same as I told my daughter and school and prepare her for the REAL WORLD - tell her for example you ARE beautiful - never be ashamed of your Self - BUT - you are at school to learn and not to explore your sexuality or solidify your popularity and status - dress and behave appropriately...Knowing what BOYS are like - not men - knowing what BOYS are like - I simply advised her to always be aware of the inevitable affect she will have upon them -and clearly that teacher has similar views ;)

When bras were first marketed in the US it was those wearing them who were considered provocative, as they raised and emphasized the breasts.
A century ago a woman might have been thrown out of class for wearing a bra.

O fickle fashion...
