Tel Aviv Gay Pride Parade 2009

Under an uncompromising Israeli sun, thousands went out on the streets of Tel Aviv today to take part in the gay pride parade. June has been declared as Tel Aviv's gay pride month, and apart from this event, there are many more scheduled.

Nice pics! I missed the Houston parade this year.

If you want to see some photos from pride parades across the globe and through the years, pbase has lots.

Go to pbase search - Search the PBase Photo Database for Photos and type pride and enter. pbase has some blocks on linking to specific searches, especially when they bring up nudity. Its still a great photo site.

(edit, if you search on Tel Aviv Pride they have picures from last year and older.)

Great photos. There's just one thing: is it me, or does this panda look strangely eerie?

When I saw that photo, I immediately flashed back to the James Bond movie Moonraker and the scene where the guy in that giant, freaky costume pursues Bond and his lady-friend through Mardi Gras in Rio.

Ah. That could be it. When it comes to a panda's facial expression, romantic longing and the cold, calculating gaze of a predator stalking its prey look very similar.

Anyhow, from the photos, it looks like not even ominous pandas could put a damper on a kick-butt party.

LOL, yes. I think I've known a few women who fit well in the Panda model of multiple meaning facial expression.. romantic, predatory.. etc.

Anyhow, from the photos, it looks like not even ominous pandas could put a damper on a kick-butt party.

hehe yes. the parade ended in performances and shows on the beach and 5 couples holding a Jewish wedding ceremony on the beach.

LOL, sometimes not even a 6"6 panda that stares right at you can be a distraction.
