Tel Aviv Mayor Says Occupation To Blame For Wednesday's Attack

Gharib

I want Khilafah back
Ron Huldai, the mayor of Tel Aviv, who in an interview with Army Radio pointed to what he saw was the underlying spark for terrorist violence: the continued Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.

“We, as a state, are the only ones in the world with another people living among us under our occupation, denying them any civil rights,” he said. Huldai, 71, discussed the collapse of any meaningful process toward a two-state solution — the desired fix to a half-century of conflict that is still the stated goal of the United States and the bulk of the international community.

For those of you who are pro-Israel, how significant do you believe are the words of the Mayor. How true or false do you think is his statement?

Do voices from within Israel from Israelis/Jews themselves hold any weight if they blame the occupation, terrorism and government of Israel for any counter Palestinian attack?

And note one thing, there will be another war with Hamas in Gaza sometime this years, the terrorist Israeli government can't but help itself to killing innocent people. It is blaming Hamas for the killings even though all non-Israeli media has not reported that they have taken responsibility for it. While Israelis are putting blame on Hamas for no reason.

I fear those fair and reasonable words will get the usual silent treatment.

Apparently Hamas is to blame for everything -
No doubt they will be blamed for whatever reprisals and collective punishment follows the Tel Aviv murders.

Let's hope it's not like Gaza in 2014.
I pray the Israelis do not again "mow the grass" in the West Bank.

What a bizarro-world we live in where the alleged "most moral army in the world " can invade a ghetto with their tanks and helicopters and fighter jets and illegal Willy-Pete - killing thousands, mostly civilians, including over 500 children - in escalated retaliation for three dead Israelis.

Then openly de-humanise the massacres of thousands as just "mowing the grass",
AND
pretend they are the Good Guys just defending themselves !

It's Holocaust 2.0

(Jer 14:8 KJV) O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night?

(Ezek 22:7 KJV) In thee have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.

(Mat 25:38 KJV) When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

(Mat 25:43 KJV) I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

(Ezek 22:29 KJV) The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.

(Ezek 36:22 KJV) Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.

(Ezek 36:24 KJV) For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

(Ezek 36:31 KJV) Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.

(Ezek 36:32 KJV) Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.

(Ezek 21:32 KJV) Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the LORD have spoken it

According to a 2002 study by the Jewish Agency, "the number of Jews in the world is declining at an average of 50,000 per year."

The population of Israel is flat. The only growth to their population is new comers from abroad. Without newcomers their population would shrink and disappear. And so it is, thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the LORD have spoken it

Huldai is a left wing politician. Israel has many of those. I don't agree with much of his statement and neither do any Israelis, especially those not aligned with the left wing and Joint List ideologues.

Exactly. When I opened this thread my first question was, "What are the political leanings of the good mayor and does he actually speak for the majority of Israeli's?"

Now that you've covered that, his comments make a great deal more sense. Not saying he is right, well.... he is Left, LOL... but still... that is one considered viewpoint, to be sure.

But, but, but they enjoy it !!
Israelis murder 3 children for throwing stones. A younger brother of one of the slain had been killed by the IDF 10 days ago. Child killing is an IDF sport.

The number of children shot while throwing stones at IDF tanks in the last two years has not been reported but the number must run into the hundreds. Some of these children were murdered by direct fire from the tank but many of them were shot by IDF snipers near the tank or hidden in buildings near by. At least 23 have been shot in the head.

An American soldier would NEVER deliberately pick out a 9-year-old child, put his cross-hairs on the face of this child and pull the trigger. The Israeli’s seem to see this as a sport. They have even shot 9-year-old girls.

3 Palestinians killed in clashes with IDF

Three Palestinians, including two youths, were killed during clashes with IDF troops in Gaza and in the West Bank on Saturday.

Troops shot and killed a 20-year-old Palestinian
in the Balata refugee camp near the West Bank city of Nablus.

Palestinian sources said Mahmoud Alahwani, whose younger brother was killed by troops 10 days ago, was throwing stones at the soldiers when they opened fire on the demonstrators.

Earlier Saturday, IDF soldiers shot and killed a 10-year-old Palestinian boy and a 15-year-old youth and seriously wounded an adult in a confrontation with stone-throwing protesters in the northern Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian medics.

Haneen, who was eight years old, had been shot twice in the head by an Israeli soldier as she walked down the street in Khan Yunis refugee camp with her mother, Lila Abu Selmi. Almost every day here the Israelis shoot at random, so when you hear it you get inside as quickly as possible," says Mrs Selmi. "Haneen went to the grocery store to buy some crisps. When the shooting started, I came out to find her. She was coming down the street and ran to me and hugged me, crying, 'Mother, mother'. Two bullets hit her in the head, one straight after the other. She was still in my arms and she died."

I want Khilafah back
It is sad, but also a reality.

Now that an Israeli girl was killed while being in Palestinian land illegally, it is time to punish the whole village, the attackers whole family and demolish his family's home. I wonder how many Israeli terrorists have had their homes destroyed for killing Palestinian children?

Maybe if both sides stopped the killing, less people would die prematurely. Makes sense to me.
