Did Jesus and his disciples have an issue with selling God or Jesus as a product, idol of God? object?

Can money buy you love?

I believe one who is willing to die to save people from their sin isn't going to have any problem with those who spread the gospel using TV. Even Paul went so far as to say that those preaching the gospel for profit were serving God's purposes.

How do you exactly sell god or jesus? God doesn't want to be depicted in any art. So any art, or whatever, that depicts him is not god. Jesus is not god, so just like a football player, putting him on a mug wouldn't change what he taught cause it's not him it's a picture.

selling an image, an idol, isn't teaching what he taught.

Did Jesus sell his parables?

Matthew 10:8

Re read my post.

How do you sell jesus, or god?

No one knows god's face.
We dont know what jesus Actually look liked other than going by where he lived.

We can depict pictures but jesus himself?

Yes, parables are sold in books (like the bible and christian help books) just as poetry and so forth. He didnt say dont spread his word (aka why Acts is in the bible), just not to depict his image (I think exodus or deuteronomy)

an "image", picture on a cup. thats advocating a personality. It isn't advocating the kingdom of god. jesus is not self in which the kingdom of God comes

profiting from anything that can be gained simply from reading the bible, or comparing beliefs with another. like jesus did with the other teachers at the temple. like jesus did with the people he communed with.

communion requires a two way dialogue, conversation.

the product being sold is not free; especially when advocating for the continuing of the program, or the ministry.. ministries and programs come and go. the Truth remains forever.

jesus sent his disciple out by foot and not by private jets, or first class, first century accommodations.

You promise people things if they send you money and threaten other things if they don't. Do it in the name of god or Jesus and you are selling god or Jesus, maybe both if your marks are Christians.

Prosperity gospel?
Prosperity Gospel is a new term for a shameless version of an old religious concept. But it is old. How do you think the popes got so rich?

Tell people what they want to hear and the people will give you money and power and fame. That's why religion is so enduring it appears eternal.
