I've explained it several times now. What don't you get?
If a person is peeing near you, would you prefer they pee their pants, or have their pants off and pee all over the place? In which scenario are you exposed to something (someone else's pee) that you don't want to be exposed to? If the person is wearing pants, they're less likely to get urine on you, right? Similarly, if a person is wearing a mask, they're less likely to get anything that comes out of their mouth or nose on you, right?
LOL Why?
Peeing on someone is about as disgusting as coughing on someone during a pandemic.
You need to read the analogy again, I think.
The problem is that when a person speaks, breathes, coughs, sneezes, whatever, particles come out of their nose and mouth. Someone doesn't even have to be deliberately coughing on you for the particles to enter your respiratory system - they could just be talking to you normally. Masks just help to block as many of those particles as possible from floating around in the are and entering your respiratory system.
The thing is that when we wear a mask, we are wearing it to protect others from ourselves and vice versa. So when a person doesn't wear a mask, it's as if they don't care about others, which is disconcerting to me during a global pandemic that has killed 5 million people. They're saying that their personal preferences trump other peoples' health, and that bothers me.
