Young Frankenstein was a great movie. I didn't recognize the name at first, but I certainly recognize the film.
She always made an entertaining character...
I'm really bummed out. I was just mentioning the Teri Garr episode of Star Trek TOS Assignment Earth to some friends.
I really liked her performance in Close Encounters, trying to hold it together while husband Richard Dreyfuss slowly fell the sway of the aliens...

I loved her in Young Frankenstein. And as @Dan From Smithville Gary Seven's secretary in Star Trek. She also played a very convincing and accurate Phoebe's mother in Friends.
I remember when she was in "Oh God" playing John Denver's wife.
She played a lot of understanding wives and girlfriends, and I suspect she got these roles because she is so genuine and adorable. She always had that girl next door quality, and I had a huge crush on her. She played the divorced wife of Dabney Coleman's character in a movie called Short Time. Cute movie, clever plot actually, a comedy. She and Coleman had a few really nice moments in that movie that were really touching. As a human she had that sweet nature that came out in her acting.
